ICEBREAKING ACTIVITY (1): FIND SOMEONE WHO/WHOSE...

 ICEBREAKING ACTIVITY

Dear all,
As an icebreaking activity, this questionnaire is intended to warm up the group of students with something different from their textbooks or learning materials.
Although there are some questions to be asked and/or answered in the Present Simple Tense, most of the questions on the left column have to be asked in the Present Perfect, and the questions on the right have to be asked/answered in the Past Tense.
The students will have to use both tenses –Present Perfect versus Past Tense- thus hopefully realizing the difference between both of them:
the Present Perfect questions -on the left- mainly referring to the students'  past experience, and the questions on the right aiming at a specific date and/or a place in their past life.
I hope you find this questionnaire useful, either at the beginning of the school year, which has just started in some countries, or as a means to practice and foster their oral/aural skills or to check the students' progress.
